Summer time with Family

Didn't we have some fun having the chance to have our youngest grandson here with us for a whole month. He got to know us better and we did him. I loved seeing his little face in the morning as he would come running out of the bedroom ready for a new day. It was exciting to see our two grandson's interact with each other and get to know each other as well. We walked around this pond just before it was time to head for the airport. I think we bonded with this little guy and I can tell you that being a grandparent is wonderful!

" Will you walk with me Grandpa?"

We stopped at Jordan Creek Mall to waste some time before heading to the airport. Eli seen these ducks, he loves ducks! I thought this was a cute little picture of him. Glad the rail was there because if he could of reached.....I think he would of had that duck! (smile)

Eli loved the green grass, St George where he lives don't have much.
These two were having so much fun running around in the yard.
And Grandma held him high above the corn for Mommy.

And they played in the rocks and dirt!

This was taken the day Eli and his family were ready to fly back to St.George.

So Cute

"You are my Sunshine Eli and Ethan"

Going Home Soon

This past month was the best in being able to have Johnny, Shanna and Eli home. They both are teachers and so they had the whole summer off. I was so excited when Johnny said that they would be home for a month. It gave Eli a chance to really get to know us as his grandparents.
He has been so lovable and has warmed up to us. I think the next time we see each other there won't be a shy little boy. I'm grateful for the time we have had with them! Ethan and Eli are my Sunshine, I love listening and watching them do new things. Eli learned to wave " Bye-Bye and learned to say Gan-ma and Gam-pa. I love it!!! The time went by way too fast, but we'll see them again soon. Ethan and Eli rode on their 4-wheeler scooters today, they did really well in making them go forward and even backwards. It's wonderful being a grandparent!!!!

The Wagon Ride

Ethan had fallen asleep and Eli was taking it all in. Eli wasn't scared being up in the air at all. Not sure who he gets that from. As for myself.....I get scared when I'm high up in the air.

Some Family fun at Adventureland

Uncle Phil had so much fun helping Eli and Ethan get a duck. I think they had more fun just playing in the water. It was fun to see the expressions on their little faces as they pulled the duck from the water. I think Eli would of liked to have kept this duck.
Uncle Phillip helped the little guys here in letting them pick up a duck to see what surprise they get. A dot on the bottom (big prize) A no dot (little prize) the babies had so much fun just playing in the water as you can see. Of course, they each picked one up with a no dot, so they each got a stuffed little animal that was a duck.
Eli
Ethan

Eli was sitting back enjoying the ride, while his
cousin Ethan takes over the wheel and has a
little fun steering the boat. They are adorable!
Just look at Eli laugh!

You two had so much fun riding on the Lady Bug at Adventureland Park. Grandma and Grandpa took everyone. Ethan loves to steer and Eli went along for the ride. It was so cute to watch the look on their little faces as it started to go, as it went around and around. They did have quite a few rides that they were able to go on. And they did......

Grandpa and the little boys

The babies couldn't hardly wait for grandpa to get these 4-wheelers put together, they tried to hand him the tools to help him finish them faster.
They love them and with shoes on they scoot around on them pretty good. He has wanted to get them something for a while now.
Thanks Grandpa!

So true......So true.....

What a little sweetheart....his cousin Eli were playing with the tote that became their toy box here at our home. They both decided to dump all of their toys and climb on top of it. So I thought what a cute little picture if I can get him to stay where he is for a least a minute. He did. It's great being grandparents......we love every minute that we spend with them!

One Happy Grandma

He has really warmed up to us this time. I'm really glad that the kids were here a lot longer. Before he would just be getting comfortable being with us and then it was time to leave. He is so adorable and we love him so much. Does he look like he's up to something? What a cute little face!

Our little Ethan holding the American flag. These little guys are so cute. They weren't scared of the fireworks this year and they even got excited when their Mom's lit some sparklers. I'll post some of those pictures below. I love Ethan and Eli so much. It's so much fun to watch them grow and see all the exciting things they are doing.

4th Of July little Boys

Eli was so cute holding on to these little flags that Grandpa got for him and his cousin Ethan. They loved walking around waving them back and forth. We were able to go with some other family members that are back here from Logan, Utah. to watch the fireworks after we did grilled some hamburgers and hotdogs. My little sister is back visiting with her husband and two of their three children. The babies enjoyed the fireworks and even did a few sparklers with the help of their Moms. For me, John and I just enjoyed being with our children and grandchildren.

They had so much fun being together. The babies loved being in the water with them. The lazy river usually puts Ethan and Eli to sleep but as you can see they are wide awake and taking everything in. We're glad that it was a nice day and that we were able to spend time together out doors.

What fun we had at the Waterpark

We were glad that the weather was good and that we were able to spend time at the Waterpark in Waterloo. It's strange to me that I never knew that this park existed. The babies had lots of fun playing in the water and getting grandpa and I wet along with them, but we wouldn't of had it any other way. We enjoyed spending this time with them. They wanted to let go of our hands and try to walk in the water by themselves but with everyone running in and out of this area we decided to hang on to them. They didn't mind...
We love them so much and we love being their Grandma and Grandpa!

Let's play Grandpa

This was cute to watch these two little guys try to get their Grandpa to open his mouth. Ethan was laughing at Eli as he was trying to pry it open.
I told John that these two are pretty strong and that they would get it done, and they did.
They are so much fun in seeing them explore and do new things. We have enjoyed having John, Shanna and Eli home here. We're planning to go to an Aquatic Center in Waterloo. I'll be posting more pictures soon.
