Enjoying some time spent with family

Enjoying some time spent with family
My little sister and her husband was here visiting from Utah over the 4th of July week. Two of their three children came with them. We had a cook-out at our daughter and son-in-laws home in Melbourne. We had hamburgers and hotdogs grilled and even had some watermellon. We ended up with plenty of food to eat. Then we were off to see the fireworks.

Such sweet little boys playing together. They're the apple of my eye! And I really mean that. I have so much fun with them.

Ethan loves to be pushed on this riding toy that he got with his birthday money." He raises his little feet and away we go". He smiles great big as Grandpa goes faster. He knows where all the buttons are and what they do on this toy. You show him once and there's no forgetting with him. He'll play for a while and then its time for a nap. We have so much fun watching him play. We love him so much!

"Boomer"

"Boomer"
This is Boomer who was with us for fourteen years. He was such a great dog and part of our family. He got pretty sick and was in alot of pain, and with his age the vet felt thay he probably wouldn't make it through the surgery. John took him in and they put him to sleep. We'll miss him alot. He loved to sit by my feet when I would come home from work. He would follow me everywhere the minute I would wake up. He was a good pet and I'm glad we had him for those fourteen years.

Our little Eli

Our little Eli
This was taken of Eli the day we were getting ready to leave to fly back to Iowa. I will miss seeing this little face each morning as he was just warming up to John and I. I love being a grandma, I loved having him come up to me and raise his arms up for me to pick him up and hold him. He is walking all over now.

A nice lady walked by us when we were trying to figure out how to take a picture of all of us, she offered to take it for me. I really appreciated her for doing this. April and the kids came down to visit. It was good to see them for Jarem and Lakea have gotten so big and that means I have gotten older. We had alot of fun being together.

Eli turns 1

Eli had so much fun eating his birthday cake that his Mommy and Daddy made for him. It was an Elmo cake. He had many family members on his Mommy's side to come and celebrate with him. John and I spent eight days with them.

Eli and the ducks

Eli and the ducks
This little guy wanted to eat the bread instead of giving it to the ducks. It was funny to watch him. It was cute to watch him throw the bread at the ducks.

This should be fun to watch as this little guy throws the bread thats in his little hand to these hungry swans. You have to be careful when feeding these swans because if your not fast enough with throwing the bread they'll come right up to you. So we like to make sure that we are fast!

You can see how pretty this area is behind Ethan and Grandpa.

What a cutie in this little suit, his mommy bought it for him to wear Easter Sunday. He looks so sweet! He was ready to change his clothes after I took this picture.

A Birthday Wish for Ethan and Eli

A Birthday Wish for Ethan and Eli
We decided to take the family out to eat at Hickory Park in Ames. The food is really good and I thought what a great idea to have them come and sing Happy Birthday to Ethan and Eli, they got their very own sundae with a candle on top and they even took a few bites of it. It was cute to watch there little faces as they sang to them. I even think that other people around us joined in. It was great to be able to spend time with all of our children while they were home. We love them all so much. How fun it is to be a grandparent!

A picture of Eli

Uncle Phillip took this picture of Eli with my camera that can do special effects. It was really neat to see what color he was going to pull out of the picture and as you can see it was a blue/green color, check out the cereal on his tray. I thought this was a really cute picture of Eli. I really like what my camera can do.

Our little Grandsons

Cousins getting their picture taken for grandma. This picture was taken in St. George Utah by a good friend of our son John. They did pretty good considering she had taken well over three hundred pictures of them. Don't they have the cutest faces?

What do you see Ethan?

What do you see Ethan?
What a sweet little face and a loving soul. I love everything about you and we are very blessed to have had you choose us as your grandparents not only here on earth but also the eternities! We have had so much fun watching you grow and see the changes that have taken place. Such as when you first learned how to crawl and when you stood all by yourself. You are a cutie thats for sure!

Looking out the window

Eli looking out the window. I love those cute little hands and that dimple in his elbow. What a sweet little boy, and to think he is part of our eternal family. It has been a joy Eli having you and your parents home for a while. We got to see you take steps without anybody holding on to you, what a big boy you are! We love you so much Eli Robert....

Oh what fun! I had so much fun digging into my birthday cake at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Alot of family was here to celebrate his first birthday with him. He ate the whole cake!

Ethan looking to see where he should dig in first. His Mommy made his cake for him. He had just awaken from his nap and really wasn't sure what was going on. We had over twenty family members here to celebrate his first birthday!

Our little Ethan and Uncle Phil

Our little Ethan and Uncle Phil
Uncle Phil sure loves these little nephews. You can tell in these babies eye's that they love him so much. Way to go Uncle Phil, you have just been made the best Uncle ever! It takes a little while for Ethan to warm up but then watch out because then he becomes a shadow following his Uncle Phil everywhere.

Phillip has been lucky to be close to this little guy Eli. They get so excited when he sees them. I think Uncle Phil has won their little hearts.

Eli and Ethan

This was taken at Johnny and Shanna's home while visiting in November 2008. The babies have a lot of fun together and seem to get along quite well. It's fun to watch them play together. We love these little guys so much!

I now know what my parents went through with having twins. Ethan and Eli are one big arm full when I'm holding the both of them. I so much enjoy these little guys! They keep me on my toes now that they both are crawling everywhere. I truly enjoy watching them as they do and learn new things. It was fun to see them interact with each other and play. I'm glad that we were able to go and see them and that the babies were able to be together on this trip. I'm one lucky Grandma!!
